A Small World

So today we travel half an hour east to my co-worker's birthday.  She was holding in a park beside a river.  She was never really sure who would all be there.  We met her new boyfriend, aunt, a couple cousins and a few friends.  After a while I turned my head and notice the nice yet sometimes funny lady who lives 5 doors up from us walking in our direction.  Sure enough the Birthday girl and our neighbour not only knew each other but did projects together.  Wow it was a good thing I didn't run over her dog the other day or that would have been a very difficult moment for sure.

Here goes nothing.

I have been told for year now to write some of my stories down or start to blog them so others can enjoy them.  But why?  Really does anyone read other peoples Blogs?  I guess if you are reading this you do.  Okay then I hope you will enjoy what I have to say.

I'm calling my blog "Sieging the day" for the sole reason that each day we wake or in some cases we are still up from the day before, we are faced with all the pressures of the world.  I believe we need to ignore most of what other want or think of us.  Really will you ever see that person who was in front of you in the McDonald's drive thru again?  Well maybe if you go there everyday, at the same time, on your way to work.  So maybe you shouldn't pluck your nose hairs in line then. BUT it is really funny how small our world can be.  So I do watch what I do at traffic lights and in the drive thru lines.  I see the same cars on my 8 minute drive to work everyday. I know which ones to watch out for and fear for my life.  Since some of my co-workers drive the same route I have to watch out for them too.  Most of them are still learning to drive.  No really some of them are.  They came to the west coast of North America from the Philippines.  They are college educated but never had a car or the need to learn how to drive.  So I keep an eye out for them as they like to slide over in my lanes as they drive beside me, just to say HI!  I have learnt not to drink from my mug unless I am stopped at a light.
